ARCHIPEL is a collaboration between members Remco Jacobs, Guusje Ingen Housz and Stef Veldhuis. Archipel is a recurring lecture night for artist from the city of Utrecht. The goal of ARCHIPEL is creating a connection between the artist from the city and mapping out the cultural islands within. During the lectures we present a broad range of views on art and the art-scene. Doing so we hope to expand the artistic framework of our audience and ourselves.
ARCHIPEL #2 took place on the 13th of march 2017 at De Kargadoor in Utrecht. The theme of this meeting was Culture/Nature. During this evening speakers Anne Boeschoten [actor] and Isis Germano [dramaturg and performance scolar at the UU] talked about the relationship between biology, politics and the arts. About the refugees of Shakespeare and the micropolitics of looking at each other. About political theatre and aesthetics.
